1920's Felt Cloche

This is a felt hat that I pulled, hardened, bound, and decorated. The trimmings are bias cut silk velvet that I acid etched and dyed. I was inspired by the close- fitting cloche of the 1920's. It was featured in an art instillation at Central Washington University.

1880's Felt Hat

This is a felt hat that I pulled in two pieces (crown and brim) then hardened, stitched, bound, and decorated. It was built for a production of In The Next Room at Central Washington University. The costumes were designed by Claire Cosby.

1920's Buckram Cloche

This is a silk covered buckram cloche. I drafted the pattern, shaped and constructed the buckram foundation, padded it, dyed the silk, covered the foundation with silk, and then trimmed it out. It  features a true vintage bakelite buckle and peacock feathers.
